[Korea-Italy Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) Memorandum of Understanding and International Seminar]
○ Objective: To establish a foundation for securing the international applicability of product carbon footprints and strengthening capacity to respond to international carbon regulations through a memorandum of understanding with an overseas EPD certification body

○ Main Contents
 - To establish a foundation for cooperation aimed at a mutual recognition agreement, including harmonizing regulations and verification procedures between the systems of Korea and Italy and discussing the method of issuing mutual recognition certificates
 - Hold an international seminar to share trends in responding to product environmental regulations, including the use of EPD in EU countries (Italy), digitalization of environmental information in Norway, and corporate regulatory response cases in Japan
 - Director Nam Kwang-woo promises to closely monitor international trends and overseas system implementation cases to support Korean companies in effectively responding to environmental information-related demands
